- Kristof turned pro in 2001. Five years later, he achieved his career-high ATP ranking top 30. He represented Belgium for eight years in Davis Cup competitions. After struggling with injuries for a while, Kristof decided to take on his next tennis endeavor as a coach.
- He set up a development plan for a promising young player: Tallon Griekspoor. They were together from the very beginning of Tallon’s career, taking him from no ranking to top 21 ATP during their partnership. They have won 11 Challenger titles together and joining forces at the Davis Cup for the Netherlands. Kristof also had coaching appearances for Team Belgium at the Davis Cup.
